Emissions Trading and Emission Reduction Projects

We support project developers in marketing their emission reductions.

Currently we are involved in several national and international projects concerning emission reduction between 50.000 and 100.000 tons of CO_2eq per year.

Mine gas

At present we are focussed on everything that is related to mine gas. Mine gas projects gain considerable emission reductions even with relatively small projects and can therefore guarantee a competitive price for their emission certificates. The monitoring of such projects is very precise and highly developed, so that mine gas projects are uncomplicated in the process of verification.

By mine gas projects we understand projects that make use of the methane-containing mine gas arising from active or abandoned mines. Two aspects need to be taken into consideration in order to understand the positive effects on the climate. Mine gas contains methane, which is highly harmful to the climate, and its harmfulness surpasses carbon dioxide by the factor 21. A considerable profit is gained by reducing the escaping methane to carbon monoxide. If electric and thermal energy is produced by reducing the methane in a thermal power station, conventionally produced electricity and heat are displaced and further emissions reduced.
